Emergency Response Team – ERT
Training objectives :
- Understand the role, composition, and operational structure of an emergency response team.
- Identify major hazards and develop appropriate emergency response plans.
- Implement safety protocols to secure the operational area and protect the response staff.
- Apply alert and activation procedures and manage effective emergency communications.
- Perform initial first aid and emergency care (primary survey) and assess victim status.
- Recognize cardiac arrest and perform high-quality Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- Control and manage hemorrhages.
- Provide initial wound care, including simple and complex injuries.
- Administer initial burn care based on burn severity.
- Identify and immobilize isolated cervical spine injuries.
- Manage limb injuries, including fractures, sprains, and associated wounds.
- Assess and respond to multiple trauma and complex injury scenarios.
- Organize and carry out the safe evacuation and transport of casualties.
- Operate effectively within a coordinated team while managing stress under pressure.
- Understand and apply basic fire safety and firefighting principles.
- Use emergency response equipment and apply intervention techniques correctly.
- Gain familiarity with real-world emergency procedures.
- Participate in simulated drills and crisis scenario exercises.
- Coordinate a comprehensive and structured emergency intervention.
