Emergency Response Team – ERT

Training objectives :

  • Understand the role, composition, and operational structure of an emergency response team.
  • Identify major hazards and develop appropriate emergency response plans.
  • Implement safety protocols to secure the operational area and protect the response staff.
  • Apply alert and activation procedures and manage effective emergency communications.
  • Perform initial first aid and emergency care (primary survey) and assess victim status.
  • Recognize cardiac arrest and perform high-quality Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Control and manage hemorrhages.
  • Provide initial wound care, including simple and complex injuries.
  • Administer initial burn care based on burn severity.
  • Identify and immobilize isolated cervical spine injuries.
  • Manage limb injuries, including fractures, sprains, and associated wounds.
  • Assess and respond to multiple trauma and complex injury scenarios.
  • Organize and carry out the safe evacuation and transport of casualties.
  • Operate effectively within a coordinated team while managing stress under pressure.
  • Understand and apply basic fire safety and firefighting principles.
  • Use emergency response equipment and apply intervention techniques correctly.
  • Gain familiarity with real-world emergency procedures.
  • Participate in simulated drills and crisis scenario exercises.
  • Coordinate a comprehensive and structured emergency intervention.
