The objectives
- Integrate into the concept of the survival chain.
- Explain the administrative and medical functioning of Emergency Medical Assistance within a healthcare institution, as well as the role of other responders (civil protection, Tunisian Red Crescent).
- Ensure immediate and appropriate protection.
- Remove a victim from a real, vital, imminent, and uncontrollable danger using various techniques (pulling the ankle, wrist by the clothes under the armpits).
- Ensure the transmission of an alert to the most suitable Emergency Service.
- Immediately perform necessary first aid on a person who is choking. (Back blows, abdominal compressions for adults, chest compressions for infants).
- Perform necessary emergency first aid on a person suffering from heavy bleeding: Direct manual compression – Compression bandage.
- Keep the airways clear of an unconscious victim who is breathing while waiting for the emergency teams to arrive – Recovery Position (PLS).
- Perform necessary actions for a victim complaining of discomfort (chest pain, hypoglycemia, asthma, paralysis).
- Implement first aid actions for a victim with a wound or burn, depending on its severity.
- Implement first aid for someone complaining of a bone or joint injury.
- Assess an unconscious person.
- Perform chest compressions and insufflations: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) safely.
The duration of the training: 1 day.
